Turkey Time

November was filled with school events, family time and friends.    Carl and I took the kids to the Jacksonville Museum of Contemporary Art for an afternoon.  We had a lot of fun exploring all of the sculptures, paintings and kid area.
We thought this piece was one of the most interesting.

The kids love the weekends when Carl is home.  Their dad has been working a lot so weekend time has been scarce.

The kid area at MOCA is super fun. Lots of creative things to do such as building areas, watching yourself on TV, drawing and other ways to create art.
Sophia loved the magnets
Now that Sophia is getting older, the kids really enjoy spending their afternoons playing together.  They tickle, wrestle, do puzzles and play so nicely together.

With the start of this new school, there is a big emphasis on crafts and arts. The kids and I find ourselves at Michael's A LOT.  In typical holiday season, the Christmas stuff came out really early.  Jack saw these costumes and begged that I buy them so that he could be Santa and Sophia could be Mrs. Claus.  They are super cute and the kids wore them the whole season!!!

Jack had his first school performance in November.  It was super sweet!  They sang about five songs and also had dance moves to the music.
Jack walking to chapel for the performance.  They wear their chapel shirts every Wednesday for chapel.

They had to clap hands to the music
Jack, Sophia and I went to a fire station playdate for MOPS.  Although Jack has seen the fire trucks during field trips and other playdates, he never gets sick of it.
For Thanksgiving, we planned a long visit to Nashville.  We hadn't been there all year and wanted to spend a lot of time with everyone.  Jack missed his Cousin Thomas so much and we hadn't met our new cousin, Dax.  We had an awesome visit with the exception of a little stomach bug.
Sophia so excited to see Papa

Lots of joking and laughing between these two

Enjoying some great family time.  Mimi and Papa had just recently renovated the house. It looks awesome.
One of my must-sees in Nashville is Opry Hotel.  They do an amazing job at Christmas decorations.  There are so many beautiful trees lit up and a cool boat that runs thru the hotel.  We just happened to be there when Santa arrived.  Jack and Sophia got to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.  Jack told him that he wanted a robot and bicycle.  Sophia wanted more babies.
Silly faces at lunch

Jack makes this face ALL the time.  I think it's super cute!

We had a great time exploring the hotel.

We had a great Italian lunch after visiting with Santa

Sophia is such a Daddy's girl. She adores Carl.

So ready for Christmas time

Look at that silly smile

Enjoying our first hot chocolate of the season

Scott and Ally hosted the whole family for Thanksgiving.  We were blessed to have all the cousins together. It was also great to have Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Steve, Kyle and Xmennia. We were all able to catch up.  Dinner was amazing!  We got to stay with Scott and Ally.  The kids had a blast and we got a chance to catch up.

Sophia left us in the middle of the dinner to go to the fridge to find herself some more food!  She is quite the eater!

Tired after all the turkey

These three were inseparable
