A bubble bash to remember....

Yesterday was Jack's 2nd birthday.  These past two years have gone by so fast, and I am so proud of the little guy that we are raising.  Jack is such a sweet and happy little boy.  He is quick to laugh, sometimes bashful, always giving, and very thoughtful.  With all that said, the terrible twos started early around our house, and Jack is fully testing his independence.  Time outs work surprisingly well though, and we are working through our little tantrums.  Jack has been an amazing big brother, and is SO sweet to his little sister.  He loves to play with her, and show her how to clap and touch the toys.  

One of Jack's first words was bubble.  He has always had a fascination with them, and so I thought it would be fun to throw him a little bubble party. 

Our friends joked today that I will still be putting this sign out when Jack is 25 years old:) I probably will!

I printed pictures of Jack from the last two years and we lined the driveway with them.

We have been blessed to have met a lot of new people, and made a lot of friends through MOPS, Jack's school, and Oakleaf. Coincidently, I have also some sorority sisters, and even friends from middle and high school that I have reunited with.  They all have kids around Jack and Sophia's ages, and it makes for fun playdates. 

Jack is super excited for the party to start.  He helped his Godmother fill the pool with bubble bath and water!

Jack and Ella have become such close friends over the past year.  

Looks like we have just the right amount of bubbles to get this party started!

We spent this past week getting Jack accustomed to the pool.  He has been taking swimming lessons, and now doesn't mind getting his hair wet.

Jack is so excited that everyone is clapping for him:)  We watched the Elmo birthday dvd a few times this week so he was really excited to hear that it was "Jack's birthday"

Jack is starting to talk more.  He uses two and three word phrases, and has begun to refer to people by their names.  When eating, he will say "Jack eats" and then has a bite, and then says "Momma eats," and offers me a bite.

Jack still loves most foods.  His favorites are still cheese (the more gourmet the better), fruits and veggies.  Spaghetti with meat sauce tops the charts, as well as ice cream and cookies;) YObe frozen yogurt is also a personal favorite! 

We had homemade subs, tomato mozarella salad, pasta salad, chips and dip, and lots of fruit...I made the sign out of some paper scraps!

Sophia in her bubble outfit!  She turned three months this week. She loves to blow raspberries (bubbles), and touch her toes.  

Jack opening his presents.  Herme is sitting next to him.  They are still best of pals.  When everyone first arrived, Jack was a little overwhelmed. I asked him if it would help if I brought out Herme.  (Jack calls Herme "I-E").  As soon as he saw Herme, he was totally okay and enjoyed the rest of his day.
