Well, just a few minutes after my last post, Jack woke up from his nap and began crawling! In fairness to him, he has been crawling backwards now for months but has not had any interest in going forward. I don't know if it was the carpet, being in Swiss country, or a little encouragement but he decided it was time. Some pics of Jack crawling in Luzern.....

Jack's crawl is a little less of a normal crawl and more of a crawl on all fours. He is trying to stand up by himself. The only problem now is that the little guy now is having a hard time sleeping because if he can't automatically fall asleep he gets up and sits and starts to play in his crib and then can't wind down.
Thursday, Jack and I played in the house because it rained all day and prepared for our day trip on Friday. The surgeon that Carl works with was out of town on Friday, and Carl had set up time to visit with one of associates in Luzern, Switzerland. Luzerne (Lucerne to the French) is a lake side resort town that is about 45 minute train ride from Zurich. Carl left on the early train that morning for work.

Jack and I spent the day exploring Luzern. It has a touristy type feel but its truly beautiful. The lake and mountains are stunning, and you feel like you are looking at a picture.
Many of the old homes had beautiful drawings on the side of the buildings.

| So happy he is done with work! |

| My Guys! |
 |
| We don't have a real highchair in Zurich. Jack loves to eat on the floor. He makes such a MESS! |

| Daddy studied the next day. As a treat, we went to a close by fondue restaurant. It was a very cozy place. |

| The fondue restaurant was called Chasstube. We chose the most popular option of vacherin and raclette cheeses. It was decadent. |

| SO Happy! |
We loved Luzern so much that we decided to go back for a weekend afternoon. Since Jack and I had already spent a day exploring, we were the tour guides for Daddy.
 |
| We found this great park. Jack LOVES the swings. I can't wait to get him one back in the U.S. |
 |
| Daddy pushes him higher |
 |
| Tired after the swings |
 |
| But then we found the ducky that bounced and he got his second wind! |

 |
| This is the view from the playground. The Swiss are very into nature. Everyone here has flower and vegetable gardens, and love to be outside. |

 |
| Dad went to get us a great lunch. We had a picnic in the park, and surprised me with a great bottle of Vino Nobile from Italy |
 |
| After lunch, we sat on the park bench and looked out. |

| I had wanted to go up to the top of the mountain but it was quite foggy....maybe another day before we leave |
